Flexible Style

Same Essential Black Pants

Same Cobalt Blue Skirt & Turquoise Shirt

Same Scarf and Sheer Blouse

Same Tribal Print Scarf
I have officially completed thirty blog post on Endless Chic Style....Yeahhhh! In that accomplishment, I was inspired to show you how I have interchanged some pieces in my wardrobe to complete different looks so far. For me, style has never been about spending a huge amount of money to look great. I am a true fan of finding a deal. With that said, it's not a deal if you can't use it. Just because it is on sale....you don't need to buy it. When I shop, I try and stay away from items with a lot of prints and patterns. It is much more difficult to style and interchange items that have too much going on. I am not saying to knock every print item you come across.....just keep it to a minimum if you are trying to establish a foundation in your wardrobe. Once the foundation is laid, you can add more statement pieces to your collection. When establishing a base in you closet, you want to select more solid colored, individual pieces that compliment your body type. You can worry about the flare when you get to the accessories aisle. Once you have those solid colors, you have more flexibility to interchange them into multiple looks. Now....once you get to the accessories department, this is your opportunity to add the icing to the cake. Accessories are the the final and most important piece to an outfit. With accessories, you can transform a white t-shirt and jeans into so many different looks. Keep in mind, too much of anything is bad. Don't go overboard with the accessories.....you will end up looking like a Christmas Tree. I like to apply the rule, "Everyone can't talk at the same time", when choosing my accessories. Pick one statement piece for center stage and allow the other accessories to be the back ground singers. (Ex. A beautiful necklace shouldn't be out shined by a large pair of earrings.) Once you have established a base, you can move on to introducing color and personality to your closet. Know your body and yourself and everything else will fall into place when it comes to your style and wardrobe. Have fun and stay beautiful.

Sunshine

Sheer Cream Shirt [F21] $13.50, Canary Yellow Harem Pants [F21] $14.50

Coral & White Scarf [F21] $8.80

Neutral Color Peep Toe Pumps [Ross] $20.00

Butterfly Pendant $10
This year I took a trip to Seattle/Tacoma Washington and I left having a better appreciation for the sunshine. I was a time well spent but they really need a huge dose of Vitamin D. In my outfit, my inspiration is coming from the great sunny days we are receiving in the Southwest. For today's look, I chose to pair my bold canary yellow harem pants with a cream colored blouse to avoid being too bright and over the top. To add icing to the cake, I selected a sheer scarf and gold accessories.

Tip: Are you afraid of wearing bold bright colors this season? Try pairing one bold item with a neutral color or a pastel to tone down your look. If that doesn't work, try selecting bold colored accessories or shoes to add a pop of color to your outfit. If you are modest about color, it is okay to do it in moderation. Too much of anything is bad for us. Remember to have fun and stay beautiful.

All In The Family

Sheer Turquoise Blouse

Gold Belt [Thrift Store] $3.20

Gold Earrings [Thrift Store] $1.20

Cobalt Blue Pencil Skirt [New York & Company] $25

BCBG Animal Print Pumps [old]
In today's outfit, I have two colors I don't traditionally place together. After today, it will become a normal practice. I love the way the two blues compliment each other. After this combination, I began to think about combining other colors like pink and red, deep purple and lavender, yellow and orange....and much much more. Keeping it all in the same color family is a style I will keep in my tool box of fashion for a while. For the rest of the ensemble, I added some flare with my animal print pumps and some gold accessories to complete the look.

Tip: Try pairing up two colors, that are in the same family, in your wardrobe and let me know how it turns out. Have fun and stay beautiful!

A Pop of Purple

Polka Dot Blouse [Old Navy]

Black Cropped Pants [Thrift Store]

Aldo Purple Peep-Toe Pumps [6pm.com]

Pearl/Gold Clip-On Earrings [Thrift Store]

A pop of color never hurt any ensemble. In this outfit today, I allowed my Purple Peep-Toe Pumps (try saying that three times fast) to have center stage. I could wear these gorgeous shoes with a pair of pajamas and feel like a million bucks. In a lot of cases, you can have on the most basic look and when you add that POP of something (shoes, a purse, or accessories) ...the outfit comes alive.

Tip: Take two neutral colors and pair them with a mean set of heels and see how your outfit will come alive. Often times, it's the shoes that adds the icing on the cake. Have fun with your style and stay beautiful.

BCBGeneration Sandals [6pm.com]

Gold Necklace & Pearl Earrings [Thrift Store]

For a curvacious woman like myself, the color black is my friend. This black jumper was a simple and affordable piece I selected because I knew I could rely on my accessories to steal the show. When you keep your pieces simple, you are able to interchange them with other items in your wardrobe. Allow the accessories to be the icing on the cake.......what is cake without the icing? Just boring sweet bread. Its always about the icing. Have fun with your style.

Tip: Simple and classic items will have an endless life in your wardrobe regardless of the current trends or fads passing through.

This outfit could be worn on a date night or add a splash of color with a blazer and you could wear it to work.

Sophisticated Chic

Earrings [Forever21]

Bracelets [Collective Purchase]

Purple Blouse & Pencil Skirt [New York & Company]

Christian Siriano Hidden Platform Pumps [Payless]

My Passion for Purple

Purple is such a beautiful color and I love to wear it from time to time. In this look, I was feeling a little sophisticated with the boldness and the elegance of the blouse. Without hesitation, I had to pair it with my tribal inspired pencil skirt I had hanging out in my closet. For the rest of the outfit, I kept it simple with minimal accessories and a staple black pump. I was feeling like a big girl in this look.....LOL. If nothing else, have fun with your style and stay beautiful.

Tip: Playing dress up is okay when you don't have anywhere to go. Enjoy life.....you only get one.

Beautiful Cobalt Blue

Scarf

w/o the Blazer

Scarf look #2

Boring w/o the flare of accessories
Accessories play such an important role in an outfit. Just the smallest studs in your ear can make the difference. In this blog today, I wanted to show how it can go from drab to fab with a few touches of color, texture, and layering. I began with a stripe shirt and a bold cobalt blue pant. I accessorized with a beautiful tribal print scarf, a black blazer, and minimal accessories. It is very easy to take essential pieces in your wardrobe and style them up with great affordable accessories.

Tip: Try style up a simple white shirt and a pair of dark denim skinny leg jeans and see what you come up with. Remember to always have fun and stay beautiful.

To spruce the outfit up a little more, I added gold accessories to make the dress pop even more. With the exception of work, I would wear this look anywhere.
